It all started with puberty, when I started gaining weight due to an injury. People started to pick on me – in real life and online. This caused worry and dissatisfaction in my teenage head. Through whole high school I was stumbling across many ups and downs regarding the way I looked. Loving and accepting yourself being one of the most important things in our life, especially when growing up, is something I haven’t realized until two years ago. With help and support of my loving family and friends, projects like #iamallwomen, many youtubers, bloggers and other people writing about body positivity and self-love, I started gaining back the love I once lost due to hateful comments. Accepting yourself by the way you look and act is a long-lasting process, that is still running for me. Through time, talks and help of others, you get to a point when you realize you’re the one that has to be happy. In the end of the day, no one want’s their life and happiness to be limited.

I chose my tattoos for my close-up because I don't want to focus on the negative parts of my body, I wan't to present the ones I like. As a lover of art, I like to look at tattoos as such. All my tattoos carry a story or a special kind of meaning, and there's also a connection between them. I would like to focus on my »Every day is a great day« tattoo, because it carries a message to find a little good thing that happened to you that day, even though it wasn't your best one overall. A very commonplace example – which happened to me – is my dog coming to me to cuddle, which made my day a whole lot better. But any individual can interpret this tattoo differently.
